Artist Release

This is a limited usage release, the copyrighted images provided by the Artist will be used for print in Miroir Magazine and on the miroirmagazine.com website. The Artist retain copyright of all material. The images shall not be used for generating copies such as postcards, prints, etc., unless discussed and agreed upon in writing by the Artist. Miroir Magazine agrees to use the 300 DPI images provided by the Artist solely for printing purposes in Miroir Magazine and will destroy all files after use. On the miroirmagazine.com website all images will have a 72 DPI resolutions to protect the images from theft and to prevent viewers from reproducing the artwork. We do however use Magcloud print-on-demand service at this time and will offer Miroir Magazine for sale on their website, image viewing of the Miroir Magazine pages may be larger than seen on the miroirmagazine.com website.

Subject to this agreement, the Artist warrants and represents that they are the sole legal owner of all rights, title and interest in all artwork, including all related intellectual property interests such as trademarks and the sole and exclusive copyright in all artwork, and the full right and authority to enter this agreement and grant the rights granted in this agreement.

If the artwork contains images of real and recognizable people, the Artist states by signing this release that they do have a standard legal model release, signed by each model, giving the Artist publishing rights, the Artist therefore extends those rights to Miroir Magazine.

(a) The right to publish said art or photograph in the form provided or as otherwise altered by cropping in the publishers sole discretion, and the right to reproduce and distribute such art or photographs as part of the issues of Miroir Magazine in which they appear.

(b) The right to publish and distribute such art or photograph as well as the Artist's name, likeness and biographical information on databases and archival systems relating to Miroir Magazine.

(c) The right to publish and distribute such art or photograph as well as Artist's name, likeness and biographical information on the website, blog or any other interest based outlet relating to Miroir Magazine.

(d) The right to include such art or photograph in published form in a print anthology with other material published in Miroir Magazine.
(e) The right to include such art or photograph in any reprints of any edition of Miroir Magazine.

(f) The right to publish and distribute such art or photograph as well as Artist's name, likeness and biographical information in any foreign language edition of Miroir Magazine or any compilation of derivative work thereof.

(g) The right to publish and use such art or photograph as well as the artist's or photographer's name, likeness and biographical information for promotional purposes.

(h) For any photograph used on the cover of Miroir Magazine, the right to use such art or photograph as it appears on the cover to advertise Miroir Magazine.

(i) It is understood by the Artist that this is a submission driven, print-on-demand publication, all submissions are unpaid, and there are no usage fees paid, or free copies of the issues given to the Artist.

(j) I understand that my artwork may appear changed in color, distorted or altered, I hereby give Miroir Magazine, Nina Pak and Jo David, their legal representatives, and assigns, the right and permission to use my art for the magazine and will not hold them liable for any problems or concerns which may arise. Miroir Magazine strives to protect the integrity of the art, however, I understand some differences may occur, I hereby waive any right to approve the finished layout or any copy which might be used in conjunction with the finished magazine.
