The nationally renowned expressionist painter Jose Luis Rodriquez completed his art education in Nyssa Mexico and then moved to Ontario at age eighteen, he later moved to Boise Idaho where he founded the Art Attack Gallery with his friend David Alrihart.

Q: How long have you been an artist? Please tell us a little about your chosen medium? Do you do any other creative arts?
A: I’ve been interested in being creative for as long as I can remember but I distinctly recall when I was around 12-13 deciding that this is what I wanted “to do”. A: I’ve been drawing since I was probably 3 or 4. I started playing around with oil paints in my high school art classes. I actually learned how to paint with oils before acrylics, and just never found any medium I liked better.

Q: How long have you been an artist? Please tell us a little about your chosen medium.
A: I have been making art at some level for as long as I can remember. It’s something that has always giving me a great amount of joy and comfort. It became a way of making a living somewhere in the early 90s with numerous commercial art jobs. Throughout that time I was working on trying to find my own voice of what I wanted to say within my personal work. In the year 2000 my wife Aprella and I moved to New York City.
