Black Sound
Barbara Ireland sings her original rock song, ‘Black Sound,’ from her album RED (2012). The lyrics are about codependency and the sadness and difficulty that comes from being in a relationship with an alcoholic boyfriend who also suffers from the ‘Black Dog’ of depression. The music video features mud, trains, and kaleidoscopes as metaphors for the heavy feeling of being depressed.
